This week, our Year 4 pupils have been on an action-packed three-day trip, where they’ve had the opportunity to take part in a range of exciting activities.

The pupils took to the high ropes, found their way through the maze, took part in a blind folded obstacle course over a swamp, tested their archery skills and went canoeing down the river.

In the evening the pupils enjoyed movie nights and toasting marshmallows by the fire.

Pupil Joshua said: ‘ I really enjoyed the swamp, we had to work together to guide our partners over the obstacle course above and try to stop them from falling it. ‘

Pupil Enzo said ‘I had lots of fun on the high ropes and learnt a lot about balancing. I enjoyed it because it was really challenging. I also liked canoeing as we got to do a lot of exploring.’

Pupils Sophie said ‘I found canoeing the hardest because we all had to learn to row in time together but it was really exciting.’

Teacher Miss Jackson said: ‘The students had a brilliant time. I think they’ve learnt so many new skills, in particular bravery. For many of the students it was the first time they have experienced the activities and they were quite nervous about them at first.

‘When they overcame their fears, they discovered just how fun the activities were and how much they enjoyed them and challenging themselves.

‘ I’m so proud of how brave they all were.’
