Curriculum Plans

Update : Please refer to our Home Learning area during Covid-19

Please find our classes Curriculum Overviews and Homework Grids below

The children use their learning log to record their homework, including weekly spellings and times tables. They are also expected as part of their homework to read with an adult at least 5 times per week. This should be recorded daily in the learning log and signed by an adult. The children should discuss what they have read,  even if they have read to themselves.

Additional homework tasks  will be given to each class by their class teacher in the form of Home Learning grids. The tasks included encourage the development of your child’s knowledge, understanding, independence and thinking skills. In the grids (see below) are examples of tasks the children should be undertaking as part of their home learning for different subjects, during the term.  All these tasks will assist your child in class lessons.  Some of the ideas are practical to give the children experience and some are research based but all the tasks can be achieved by all children at their own level. A completion date is set by the class teacher and the outcomes of their home learning is shared at the end of each term in class. The work is often displayed for parents to see.

We thank you for your continued support.  If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher.
