On Tuesday, Willow Class turned back time on a trip to Holdenby House where they took part in a Tudor day.

The children are currently studying the topic in class and spent the day learning what life was really like back then. They dressed in period costumes and saw what types of food would have been eaten and the different methods of making them. A lady showed how butter would have been churned by hand.

Outside the children had the chance to take part in a pretend spear fight and learnt the different moves that would have been used in battles. To end the day, they got to relax and enjoy all the different games that were played.

Pupil Anya said ‘I really enjoyed the day and taking part in all the different activities, it was lots of fun.’
