Today, Year 6 pupils organised a Titanic themed tea party for their families.
The pupils have been learning about the topic in class and helped to cook and serve food, wait on tables and entertain the guests. They set out three types of tables, first, second and third class and served meals accordingly.
On the third class table, the guests played card games, drank water and were served pea soup and bread. On the second class table the guests enjoyed sausages, potatoes and fruit juice. On the first class table, food and drink was more lavish and the guests were treated to a range of drinks and salmon for the main. Entertain was provided by a group fo pupils who played piano and sang to guests whilst they ate their meals.
Miss Phillips said ‘the pupils did absolutely brilliantly to stay in character all afternoon. They were attentive to the guests' needs and the event ran smoothly. Overall the afternoon was a success and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.’
