A group of our pupils recently took part in the Brooke Weston Trust Year 5 and 6 Sports Festival.
Primary schools from across the Trust gathered for the event and took part in either football or dodgeball matches. The pupils were split into Year groups and played against the other schools in a round robin style.
Each of our teams won all their games in both sports and Year groups making us the overall winner of the festival, scoring a total of 24 points.
Principal Mrs Jane MacDonald said ‘I was really impressed with the children. They all worked well in their teams and showed great skills levels. They should all be very proud of what they have achieved.’
Head of PE Mr Lee Haywood, who organised the event said ‘ All the children played really well and I was impressed with their levels of skill. It was great to see them all cheering each other on.
‘These festivals give the primary schools a chance to meet up. They are always great fun and provide a bit of healthy competitiveness between them.’
